Who's in charge of this place, anyway?! -
Well...the site is basically developed and run by me, TklDuo-Ann. I'm a 47 yo married woman who loves tickling, and especially being tickled. My better half, TklDuo-Drew, is also a member of the community. In fact, we met as a result of my first site, the Tickle Chamber. Drew was surfing around and found it, dropped me a note and we went from there. We've now been married for a little over 8 years and are as happy together as ever.
I'm originally from upstate NY, where I was living when Drew found me. We now live in central CT. Drew works in the family business working on all the buildings and equipment the business needs to keep going. I did a combination of home health care and housekeeping for many years, helping folks remain in their own homes in spite of health issues leaving them unable to tend to things. I am now simply a housewife, my own chronic health issues having gotten to the point of being unable to work on a consistent basis. So, I take each day as it comes. Some days, it's as though nothing is wrong with me. Other days, I can barely function. Most days are somewhere in between. Such is life. I do what I'm able to and move on.
Aside from the obvious interest in tickling, I also enjoy a variety of hobbies...reading, writing, music, movies, cooking & baking, gardening and a variety of crafts. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, many of whom are members of this community. Obviously, I also enjoy doing site work. When I'm not involved in that (or need a break from it), I tend to spend a fair amount of time writing.
I've written a couple of short plays for the youth group at my former church, a prayer book for abuse survivors, bible study guides for religious education classes, several poems, reflections and short stories and the beginnings of a murder mystery. But, the writing I tend to enjoy the most these days (when time permits) is that of my tickle stories, for which I now use the pen name "theObsessed1". Older stories can still be found under TklDuo-Ann.
When it comes to getting to know folks in the community, I tend to gravitate towards those who will discuss more than just tickling. While I do enjoy talking about tickling, I'm interested in the whole person and generally won't talk with anyone for any great length of time if they're on a single track of discussing that alone. I'm also very much an introvert. So, either way, it takes me time to get to know people and be comfortable with them.
I get invites all the time from folks wanting me to join the various tk forums and networking sites out there. I don't dislike any of those sites. I belong to nearly every tk forum and yahoo group out there, though I rarely have time to go to them. But, since I have limited time to spend online, I don't join networking sites. It simply doesn't seem practical to do so when I've no idea when I'd have time to spend on them.
Soooo...if you want to get to know me, the best thing to do is either e-mail me or PM me on the TMF. That is the one place I go consistently since it's the largest, most active and gives me access to the greatest number of folks in the community.

Why do I do this site?-
One of the most common questions I get from people is that of why I do this site. It takes literally hours upon hours to keep it up-to-date....and week after week now getting it back to that point after so long. The work of gathering so much information is often tedious. There isn't a whole lot of thanks coming my way. So, why do I bother? The answer to that is twofold....
The first reason is gratitude...my gratitude towards the community, not any wanted from it. This community helped me to come to terms with both my love and my fear of being tickled and to reclaim the joy it brings me. That was no small task. It's helped to make me the person I am today, thankfully much more open-minded than I used to be. It also led Drew & I together and led me to some of my dearest friends. I could never begin to say how grateful I am for that. This site is one feeble attempt to express it.
The second reason is simple. I care because you care. I remember how it was in those early days, desperate for some shred of hope, some light in the darkness, some sign that I wasn't alone and insane in my love of tickling. Back then, it took much searching to find a handful of sites. As good as some of them were, they are now only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. If this site can help even one person to more easily come to terms with their own relationship with tickling in their life, whether directly or indirectly, then I'll be a happy camper.
